You have probably by now heard in today’s news the tragic discovery involving medical testing conducted by U.S. physicians in Guatemala in the 1940s, in which Guatemalans were intentionally infected with sexually transmitted diseases without their knowledge or consent, in order to look for new ways to prevent infections.
